- Lot Description
A large collection of wings and Air Force insignia from southern Africa, including South Africa, Rhodesia, both before and after independence from Britain, and other African states. This includes 32 different wings, 3 of which are King's crown South African, two of them in metal, all the rest of the 32 wings being in cloth. There are 4 different Royal Rhodesian Air Force cap badges, and 2 South African Air Force cap badges,a silver Rhodesian Air Force (post-Independence) cap badge, a gilded Condor badge of the Rhodesian Air Force, and a Zimbabwe Air Force officer's peaked cap badge.
Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $ 48.00 plus 1.5% replacement and insurance. Please note we do not accept credit cards.
Some of the cloth wings are slightly faded, but all are very good plus to excellent. The Rhodesian Air Force cap badges are in various materials and one is losing its gilded finish. Witherells strives to provide as much information and photographs as possible but encourages in-person inspection by bidders.
