Hand carved and painted. Initialled by artist on underside of base. Horo Mana is most often seen on the First Mesa. She carries a comb and musses people's hair while bringing the cold winter with her. John Fredericks is featured in the book, "Kachina Dolls: The Art of Hopi Carvers". He uses trademark dyes and a white wash, as seen here, which gives his work a unique look and value.Ì_
