- Lot Description
Civil War bullseye canteen, with butternut colored wool cover, and plug and chain. Marked Hadden, Booth and Porter (Philadelphia maker) with initials "BMA" heavily scratched into spout. Cover is worn, missing some small areas, but appears to be of butternut colored wool, suggesting Confederate usage. Dimensions: 10.75"h x 8.75"w. Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $25.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance.
Remarkable condition for its age, with no dents. Spout and chain show some rust and wear. Cloth cover is worn, missing some material both back and front, but is sound. Witherell's strives to provide as much information and photographs as possible but encourages in-person inspection by bidders.
