Antique gun rebuilt as .45 caliber "shooter". The rifle is built primarily of original Springfield part, including everything except the barrel and stock. The barrel is modern made in .45 caliber, with excellent and deep rifling. The barrel bands are a mixture of 1861 and 1863 Springfield parts. The stock is a beautiful but probably modern piece of wood and is fitted with a model 1855 patchbox and butt plate. Dimensions: 56.5 inches long overall. The barrel is 40.25 inches. Processing and shipping in the continental U.S. $70 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance.
