Dimensions: 22"h x 18.25"w; (overall) 29.5"h x 26"w. Provenance: Estate of Edward and Hermine Azhderian, Carmel, CA. Pearce was born in Boston but moved to Paris to study with John Singer Sargent. He painted mainly portrait and genre scenes and was especially drawn to the Northern region of France. He remained in France and died there.
