Ceramic sculpture, "Fishing Derby", depicting a fish sitting atop a hat on a plinth of simulated water by Ruth Rippon (b. 1927). Signed on water, "Rippon". Dimensions: 13"h x 16"w x 18"w. Rippon is a ceramic artist in Northern California who taught at Sacramento State University and was known for her extensive breadth of ceramic forms, always referring back to nature.
