- Lot Description
Antique California double barrel percussion shot gun, marked, "Villegia & Slotterbek, Makers, Laminated steel, San Francisco" on barrel. Locks marked, "Villegia & Slotterbek". The firm was listed in 1867 as Gun, Rifle and Pistol Maker doing business at 730 Washington Street, San Francisco. The locks are engraved with game birds and a dog. The frame, hammers, trigger guard and small parts also engraved in addition to a gold double star inlaid on each side of hammers. The stock is fancy engraved, checkered walnut with a high gloss finish. The ramrod is a select grain hardwood. 28 inch barrel. A gold shield with fancy intertwined initials set in stock behind hammers. This is an excellent California gun. Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $69.99 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance. Please note we do not accept credit cards.
Excellent. Wood with minor bruising retaining most all of its original high gloss finish. Barrel retaining most all its original striped finish. Other metal parts showing a dark patina.
