An exceptionally nice 1751 style British Infantry Hanger/short saber, made by Samuel Harvey, and marked M. Warwick and 1 over 38. For similar see Peterson's No. 2. No scabbard. This is in exceptionally good condition, with a very clear running fox mark on the blade with the initials "SH" for Samuel Harvey within. The Warwick Militia markings on the hilt are very seldom seen. This is an exceptionally nice, clean sword, with only a light frosting of rust and staining that would clean readily.
