- Lot Description
A magnificent Veteran's plaque with half of his steel helmet from World War I: an Imperial German Medal group, mounted as worn,consisting of 1914 Iron Cross 2nd Class, Veteran's Medal with sword and wreath on ribbon, "Hindenburg" cross with swords, and Bavarian "Treu Dienst in den fahne" medal, EF, beautifully mounted, with black Wound Badge, 2 pairs of cloth shoulder straps, one with "202" in red, the other with a red crown over an A,"and the left half of his "stahlhelm" steel helmet, all mounted very handsomely on a large oak plaque with "1914-1918 and oak leaves carved on it. The plaque has one chip that has broken off but can easily be glued back, and the glass door over the medals has separated, but is present. Overall this is in excellent condition, and all the artifacts are excellent. Size: 29 by 20 by 6 inches.
Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $ 175.00 plus 1.5% replacement and insurance. Please note we do not accept credit cards.
