- Lot Description
Bavarian Pilots Badge, World War I. Original World War I Pilots badge for the Kingdom of Bavaria, brought back by then Lieutenant George W. Hayes, U.S. Army Air corps. This is a light-weight badge, not silver marked, of superb quality and detail. There is a single stamp on the "T" pin. The crown is cut out. Exceptionally, rare, and original. Dimensions: 3.031 inches tall. Processing and shipping in the continental U.S. $25.00 plus the 1.5% replacement cost insurance.
Excellent condition, reverse has old silver polish residue. Witherell's strives to provide as much information and photograph as possible but encourages in-person inspection by bidders.
