Framed Arthur Hoeber (1854-1915) oil on canvas landscape painting (under glass), depicting a green marshland with a single house in the background. Handwritten in pencil, frame verso, "Mary ________ / Plaza Hotel / New York City." Dimensions: 16"h x 20"w; (overall) 27.5"h x 31.5"w. Hoeber was born in New Jersey and was known for his Tonalist style landscapes, specializing in Cape Cod and New Jersey/New York scenes. He also studied in Europe early in his career. Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $115.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance. Please note we do not accept credit cards.
