- Lot Description
A US Model 1917 "Trench" bolo, by Plumb, St. Louis, in its original scabbard, made without locking mechanism. Blade is stamped "U.S. Mod. 1917 C.T." on on side, and "Plumb St. Louis 1918" on the other. Blade has been sharpened, and there are some contact marks along the back of the blade, and the point is slightly rounded, otherwise blade is very good, with no rust or pitting. Overall condition VG+. Length overall 16 inches, blade 10 inches; a very interesting German trench dagger in the form of a hunting knife with steel ersatz antler grip, in all steel sheath, blade has been pitted and cleaned, faint Weyersberg marks on ricasso. Outside condition is excellent, blade because of pitting only good. Overall length 14 inches, blade 7 1/4 inches; 2 LF&C (Landers, Frary, and Clark)US Model 1917 "Knuckleduster" steel hilted triangular bladed trench daggers without sheaths, both marked LF&C 1917 (Landers, Frary and Clark) one with "JEW" carved into the grip, the other with a very well replaced grip, probably for World War II. The one with the replaced grip is excellent overall, the other is very good. Overall length of each 14 inches, blades 9 inches.

Condition
Trench bolo is very good plus; German Trench dagger is very good plus outside, the blade being only fair; the trench daggers one is excellent with properly replaced grip, the other is very good plus. Witherells strives to provide as much information and photographs as possible but encourages in-person inspection by bidders.
