- Lot Description
A Bavarian Model 1889 Cavalry Sword for enlisted men and NCO's, this being a private purchase sword for an NCO. It has "In Treue Fest" (The Bavarian motto) on both sides of the chromed and engraved blade. The scabbard is missing. The chrome finish has some minor signs of wear, and some bubbling, but is very good overall, with the Bavarian Lion on the guard. Overall length 38 1/2 inches, blade 33 inches.
A German Cavalry Saber for an enlisted man, probably Weimar period, in excellent and very complete shape, including a heavy leather sword knot. Blade is excellent, as is the scabbard. The grip appears to be celluloid or plastic, and is in very good shape, with a double strand of twisted wire. The hilt has a very pleasing patina. Overall length 40 1/2 inches, blade 34 inches.
A Hunting Sword or seitengewehr with brass hilt, stag horn grip, a long plain blade, and brass mounted leather scabbard, and a nice leather frog. The blade has a light frosting of rust, but should clean readily. Overall length 25 inches, blade 19 inches.

Condition
The first sword is in very good condition. The second sword is in excellent condition, and the third sword is very good.
