Superb "pinks and greens" US World War II US Army Air Corps officer's uniform, which has been completed with a variety of rare original insignia to duplicate the uniform of an American Pilot who served in the RAF "Eagle Squadron," of US citizens who joined the RAF to fight the Germans prior to US entry to World War II. This is the uniform one of them would have worn following US entry, when they were allowed to join US forces. It has RAF padded wings,as well as British ribbons on the ribbon bar, including the British Distinguished Flying Cross, ribbon. It also has an original silver "1942" badge, awarded by the British government only to members of the "Eagle Squadrons," in hallmarked silver, as well as US Senior Pilot's wings, and all appropriate insignia, both cloth and metal. The uniform is accompanied by trousers, belt, shirt, tie, additional wool shirt, an overseas cap, and a superb Officer's peaked cap.
The second uniform is Korean War era, US Marine Corps, named to H.A. Clementson, with bullion embroidered Pilot's wings, ribbon for the Silver Star, and a shoulder patch for VMFII, a Korean War unit. The tunic is especially fine, with red outlined button holes, excellent.
