Framed 1849 drawing on paper of Sutter's Fort, Sacramento, California recto inscribed, "Sutters Fort as seen from the SW about 2 miles. One cannot form much of an ID from this-tis built of mud brick-there is a trench about it and haystacks old carts logs tc tc but these are the outlines - NPB" verso inscribed, Sacramento City/Oct 2/49/Last moments tell Charles I have seen Fifield & Wilson-They are all well we have bought much and are going back their and start". Period, probably original frame with early paper and handcut backing board. Dimensions: (sight) 3.87"h x 7.5"w; (framed) 5.87"h x 9.5"w. Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $25.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance. Please note we do not accept credit cards.
