Framed 1817 schoolgirl sampler by Catherine Falls, age 17. The alphabet is embellished with a house, trees and flowers at the upper edge and a verse and date at the lower. Dimensions: (sight) 21.75"h x 16.75"w; (framed) 24.5"h x 19.5"w. Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $50.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance. Please note we do not accept credit cards.
Frame has losses. Linen is toned and some areas of minor discoloration. Stitches appear intact. Did not examine out of frame. Witherells strives to provide as much information and photographs as possible but encourages in-person inspection by bidders.
