A remarkable grouping of US Navy and Marine wings, including the wings of a Marine Pilot shot down and killed over Japan in July, 1945:
Sterling silver US Navy Pilot's wings, pin back, in silver finish, as worn by non-commissioned pilots prior to World War II, marked sterling, excellent;
US Navy Pilot's wings by LGB, pin back, beautiful 1/20th 10 karat, pin opens to 80 degrees, excellent;
US Navy Observer's wings by Balfour, sterling pin back, "O" is silvered, the rest of the wing is gilded, pin opens to 90 degrees, excellent;
US Navy Flight Surgeon Wings by Gemsco, pin back, excellent;
US Navy Navigator's wings by Amico, sterling with 10k gold plate, pin back, pin opens to 80 degrees, excellent;
US Navy Tactical Observer's wings, by Meyers, pin back, pin opens to 45 degrees, excellent;
US Marine Pilot's wings, custom made based on Navy Pilot's wings with EGA added ro shield, along with three starts for combat tours, pin back, but pin is missing, otherwise excellent;
US Navy Combat Air Crew wings with three stars, sterling, by Amico, excellent;
US Navy embossed leather Air Crew wings to John A. Holmes, Sgt., USMCR, VG+;
US Navy embossed leather Combat Air Crew wings named to Joseph Anderson, AG (air gunner) USMC, VG+
US Navy embossed leather wings to W. V. (William) Everett, Lieut. USMCR, who was shot down and killed over Japan on 16 July, 1945, while flying a combat mission with Marine Squadron 223 in his F4U Corsair. He was a native of Portland, Oregon, excellent.
