- Lot Description
Gilbert Rohde (New York, 1894-1944). Art Deco dining table of the Paldao Group by Herman Miller. Zeeland. Michigan, circa 1940. Brazilian paldao wood, top with incised curving design, sculptural legs, faux leather base with nailhead trim. Two leaves with original holder, glass top for table and leaves, and leather table pads are included. "4190" stamped into underside of top. Herman Miller labels on underside of top and on leaf holders. Water damage, scuffs, marks and losses to wood throughout top of table. Scuffs, wear, scratches, and stains to glass covers. Chips to corners of glass leaf covers. Scuffs and scratches to wood on edges of top. Nicks, scratches, scuffs, and losses to veneer and wood of both leaves. Tattering, scratches, and dirt to faux leather of table base. Nicks and scratches to wood of table legs. Wear throughout surface of leaf holder. Wear, cracking, warping and mold to pads. 67 7/8" L x 40" W x 29 1/2" H (with glass top). Table is 95 3/4"L with both leaves.
