Bilum string bag, small, with finely woven with bold red and grey stripes, and tiny shells ornamentation
In his Manuscript (lot 108), perhaps this is the bag Ledoux referred to (and collected) while describing the burial ceremony: "Finally a special bag with shell like seed pods on it (cf. collection) was placed on his chest", referring to the chest of the deceased.
