1973 Datsun 240Z, 2393 cc motor, L6 SOHC, 113,518 original mileage, VIN HLS30148009. This car was purchased in CO in Fall, 2014. Current owner had some routine maintenance performed as well as replaced speedometer cable, see scan of receipt. New battery and rear bushings installed recently. Mechanical/Motor Specs: Front engine, rear wheel drive. 2.4 liter (2,393 cc or 146 cu) straight 6-cylinder (I6) motor with twin weber carbs (rebuilt/replaced). It generates 151HP at 5600 RPM. 3-Speed automatic transmission independent suspension front (McPherson struts) and back (Chapman struts), brakes are disc (front) and drum (rear), rack and pinion steering. The mechanical fuel pump has been replaced with an aftermarket electric model. Vehicle is known to have valve issue, either intake or exhaust, that needs to be adjusted. Also the car is known to need a general tune-up. Interior/Exterior Condition: As this vehicle has been garage kept and 3-season driven, exterior condition has minimal issues and is rated 4 out of 5. Exterior color is Maxi Racing Blue (as seen in Datsun ads), but is not original. The original color was #113 green metallic. There is slight bubbling on driver's side quarter panel and passenger side sail pillar. The paint is in generally good condition, with very few scratches or scuffs. The exterior issues are appropriate for its age, but it far exceeds the condition of most 240Zs.The interior condition is exceptional. It was restored to the factory spec several years ago. The only piece out of place is the stereo head unit. The unit installed in dash is a Kenwood CD player, although the original AM/FM radio is included with the vehicle.
