An English style two-piece secretary desk with dual arched doors by Davis Cabinet Co. Features a lower writing desk with a pull-out surface and a setback bookcase top with glass doors. The desk is crafted from a warm-toned walnut veneer over hardwood, and features brass hardware. Back of bookcase marked "Antique Walnut, 423 Sec. Desk Top, Davis Cabinet Co., Nashville, Tenn."
Lower Desk: The writing desk features a rectangular top with a pull-out writing surface, drawers, and cubbyholes. It rests on four tapered legs. The overall dimensions of the desk are approximately 35 inches high, 31 inches wide, and 18 inches deep.
Setback Bookcase Top: The bookcase top features two glass-paneled doors enclosing adjustable shelves. The top is adorned with a simple crown molding and rests on a platform base. The overall dimensions of the bookcase top are approximately 51 inches high, 31 inches wide, and 12 inches deep.
This lot must be picked up in Knoxville, TN or shipped via a carrier of your choosing. We can ship smaller, boxed items ourselves, but for larger items, you are welcome to use our suggested carrier (listed in Shipping Details) or another carrier that you prefer. We will provide pickup date options in your invoice.
Good vintage condition with signs of wear consistent with age and use. The wood shows a rich patina and some minor scratches and nicks. The finish is slightly worn in some areas, particularly on the desktop and edges. The brass hardware shows some tarnish and light pitting. The glass panes in the bookcase are intact and in good condition. Please see the photos.

You are not required to use any shippers we provide, but we do require you to make all shipping arrangements with the shipper and arrange for them to pickup the items during the pickup time periods provided on the invoice(s) in the lot descriptions. You agree to complete the purchase of any items you bid on even if shipping costs exceed your expectations. Purchaser agrees that packing and shipping is done at the purchaser's risk and that the purchaser will pay for all packing expenses, materials, carrier fees and insurance charges. WAC will have no liability for any loss or damage to shipped items. Items must be paid for in full before they will be released to be shipped. Any shipping estimates given are only estimates and cannot be construed as the final shipping cost. Purchased items not picked up or shipped within ten business days of the auction will be assessed a storage fee of $10.00 per day. If the purchaser fails to have their item(s) removed from WAC storage 30 days after the auction, WAC reserves the right to take possession of the item(s) and dispose of them at their discretion to recoup storage costs.

Payment must be received no later than five (5) days after the sale.
If paying with a credit card, a 3% credit card processing fee will be applied to the final sales price (i.e. hammer price + buyer's premium + applicable taxes). If you have a credit card on file, any winning bids will be automatically charged (up to $3000) along with applicable fees 72 hours after you receive your invoice unless other arrangements have been made.
