- Lot Description
A Federal style sofa upholstered in a green velvet fabric. The sofa features a simple design with square arms, a tufted back and seat, and tapered wooden legs. The construction suggests it is a reproduction or a later interpretation of a mid-century design, likely from the late 20th century. Approximately 85 inches wide x 29 1/2 inches tall x 18 1/2 inches deep.
This lot must be picked up in Knoxville, TN or shipped via a carrier of your choosing. We can ship smaller, boxed items ourselves, but for larger items, you are welcome to use our suggested carrier (listed in Shipping Details) or another carrier that you prefer. We will provide pickup date options in your invoice.
Condition
Fair vintage condition with signs of wear consistent with age and use. The velvet upholstery shows fading and light pilling, particularly on the arms and seat cushions. There are a few small stains and some minor fraying on the edges. The wooden legs are lightly scratched and show signs of wear. It is unclear if the cushions are original or replacements. The overall structure of the sofa is sound.

Each lot description states if the lot is for local pickup or buyer-arranged shipping only. All items for this auction are located in Knoxville, TN. We provide names of carriers and shippers in advance, so if you plan to bid on items that may be expensive or complicated to ship, we highly recommend that you get shipping estimates prior to bidding from one or more local shippers (we provide a few during the bidding process or on request). You are not required to use any shippers we provide, but we do require you to make all shipping arrangements with the shipper and arrange for them to pickup the items during the pickup time periods provided on the invoice(s) in the lot descriptions. You agree to complete the purchase of any items you bid on even if shipping costs exceed your expectations. Purchaser agrees that packing and shipping is done at the purchaser's risk and that the purchaser will pay for all packing expenses, materials, carrier fees and insurance charges. WAC will have no liability for any loss or damage to shipped items. Items must be paid for in full before they will be released to be shipped. Any shipping estimates given are only estimates and cannot be construed as the final shipping cost. Purchased items not picked up or shipped within ten business days of the auction will be assessed a storage fee of $10.00 per day. If the purchaser fails to have their item(s) removed from WAC storage 30 days after the auction, WAC reserves the right to take possession of the item(s) and dispose of them at their discretion to recoup storage costs.

Payment must be received no later than five (5) days after the sale.
If paying with a credit card, a 3% credit card processing fee will be applied to the final sales price (i.e. hammer price + buyer's premium + applicable taxes). If you have a credit card on file, any winning bids will be automatically charged (up to $3000) along with applicable fees 72 hours after you receive your invoice unless other arrangements have been made.
