4th century BC. A large gold ring comprising a hollow-formed D-section hoop and tall discoid plaque with inset jasper cloison, jugate male busts, the first with pointed cap and mantle clasped at the shoulder, the second with cap and fronds in the band, legend beneath 'BPETTAN' (?"). See Chadour, A.B. Rings. The Alice and Louis Koch Collection, volume I, Leeds, 1994, item 68 for type. 9.44 grams, 29.81mm overall, 21.38mm internal diameter (approximate size British X 1/2, USA 11 3/4, Europe 27.01, Japan 26) (1 1/4"). From a London, UK, collection in 1999; previously in the private collection of Mr & Mrs Fischer, Munich, Germany, 1958-1998, supplied with geologic report No. TL005171, by geologic consultant Dr R.
