- Lot Description
Naive Ink & Watercolor Record of English Row House Ends Smothered in Broadsides, while paperhanger adds to the collage, a barefoot and tattered sandwichboard man walks by, otherwise the streets are empty. Over 50 specific advertisements are visible, fragments of many others. Signed lower left "Pen Sketch by W.B. Gent". In fumed oak frame with gold liner, under old glass. Celluloid presentation tag reads "From Councillor R. Burlinson to T. Hutchinson, Esq., July 20th, 1913". OS: 24 1/2" x 30", SS: 17 1/2" x 20 1/2". One scratch and rub at paperhanger.
