- Lot Description
19th c. Empire Champleve Enamel 'La Liseuse' Desk Clock, set with rubies and sapphires throughout, depicting a young woman reading a book by the light of an oil lamp, lapis lazuli floor and tabletop, seed pearls on her headband and surrounding clock face, glass bezel, ornate brass dial with Roman numerals on enamel panels, watch-type key wind time-only movement, (key included), 5 3/4" high, 4 7/8" x 2 3/4". Missing clock hands, loose bezel, cracks in lapis 'floor', one stone missing to back of chair, one ruby missing from base, one seed pearl missing from head band.
