Art Union of London Portrait Inkwell, in the form of a tazza with central well having a cover of Athena presenting a laurel wreath to kneeling youth, "Art Union of London" below; flanked by nine medallion busts of great English artists, with a border inscription reading "Lives of Great Men all remind us we can make our lives sublime, and departing, leave behind us footprints on the sands of time". 12 1/2" diam. Good condition.
