Young 18th c. Frenchman with large floral bouquet looks in on a lightly clad woman asleep in her draped canopy bed, oil on panel. Signed on reverse, presented in an oval format with French-lined spandrel, in a gilt gesso acanthus leaf frame, under glass, SS: 9" x 11 3/4" oval, OS: 14 1/4" x 16 1/4" oblong, shrinkage crack to panel.
