- Lot Description
Country Chippendale Grandfather Clock in figured mahogany, the bonnet with broken pediment, heavily molded, having an arched door set between full round ring and urn turned columns, with cross banded veneer. The lower case with molded panels, the same columns, matched veneers with contrasting grains, cross banding, bracket base. 8 day time and strike brass works, unmarked, having second and date bits, moon phase wheel, the steel dial painted with Roman numerals, rose blossom brackets, the moon dial having full moons with faces that alternate with land and seascapes. Includes one of two original weights (two present), pendulum and key. 97" x 26 1/2" x 11 1/2". Good condition, minor veneer loss.
