18th c. Silver Belt Buckle, made from two 18th c. Spanish Colonial disks with engraved decoration and gadrooned rim, each centered with an applied round medallion depicting King Charles VI, Holy Roman Emperor (ruled 1711-1740), with the date 1711 in Roman numerals below, surrounded by illegible text; backs with later soldered buckle hardware, unmarked, each disk: 3 5/8" diam., 3.98 ozt tw. Surface wear.
