- Lot Description
Exceptional Quality Custom Chairs, late 19th-early 20th c., consisting of (2) arm and (10) side, in mahogany, with finely carved yoke rails having relief shells, the sinuous heart shaped splats having bellflowers in relief, shaped seats with canted cabriole legs having shell carved knees and pad feet. The armchairs have splayed and scrolled arms. The original slip seats are upholstered in blue polished cotton. Armchairs have 18" seats, 28 1/2" arms, 39" backs; sidechairs have 18" seats, 38" backs, 22" x 22". Good condition, a few old repairs.
