"Attack of the Rebels upon Fort Penobscot in the Province of New England in which their Fleet was totally destroyed and their army dispersed the 14th Aug.st, 1779" by an Officer Present. For the Continuation (after Tindal's) of Rapin's History of Eng'd. published as Act directs, Dec 17th, 1785. Hand colored copperplate engraving. In hand carved gilt frame, under French-ruled mat, glazed, OS: 25 1/2" x 26 1/2", SS: 14 1/2" x 15 1/2". Folded, as issued, very good condition.
