19th c. Icon of the Mother of God Hodegetria (Gruzinskaya), after the original in Novgorod, late 15th c. Silver Oklad is hallmarked for Moscow, 1877, possible maker A. Mukhin, assayer Ivan Y. Konstantinov. 7" x 5 1/2". Loss to edge of halo, crazing to paint.
