Historic District Map with (20) vignettes of landmark buildings: "Map of the Town of Thomaston, Lincoln Co., Maine, from the actual survey by D.S. Osborne. Published by E.M. Woodford, 80 Wall St., Philadelphia, 1855. Printed by Wagner & McGuignan, Phila.". Detailed street layouts with owners of individual buildings identified, hand colored by district. Vignettes include the Gen. Henry Knox Mansion (Rev War hero, first Secretary of War), Maine State Prison, Academy & Cong. Church, Hon. John Ruggles Residence (US Senator 1835-41), Wordsworth House. 38 1/2" x 45 1/2" varnished paper on linen map, retaining the original roller and batten. Multiple light bends, edge chips, but fully legible.
