Spirit Dance Mask, Ammassalik, East Greenland, carved and scorched softwood and fossilized ivory, circa 1930. Used in drum dances for religious ceremonies held during the winter. Often buried with the owner. 15" x 8" x 3 1/2". Losses to top edge back.
