- Lot Description
Black Duck with a rocking head, by Gus Wilson of South Portland, Maine, ca. 1920s. The head is attached on a peg that allows it to simulate a bobbing motion on the water. 18 1/2" long, weight attached by chain. Chip in tail. Wilson is among the most desirable of Maine decoy makers, having made his observations of waterfowl while working as a lighthouse keeper, stationed at Marshall Point and Portland Head.
