Bowdoin College, Brunswick, Maine 1888 yearbook containing a total of (77) original albumen photos with subjects identified in fine penmanship, housed in the original padded pebbled leather binding marked in gilt "Bowdoin College '88, George H. Larrabee", containing twenty heavy cardstock pages photos of Ex-Pres. Packard; Ex-Pres [Joshua] Chamberlain (hero at the Battle of Gettysburg); (15) Professors; "Booker" (Regent?); (29) Students (1 missing); (14) Campus Building Exteriors; (4) Classroom Interiors; (2) Views of the Androscoggin River & Falls; Railroad Depot; Main Street; Class of '88 Group Portrait; (3) Baseball Teams (Ball Nine), in '85, '86 & '88; The Chapel; The Town Hall; '88 Delegation in OAX Society; General View of Campus (with tennis players). The album is 10 1/3" x 13 1/2" x 3 1/2", with intact brass clasp. The largest photos are 7" x 9", the medium are 4 1/4" x 7 1/4", the smallest 5 1/4" x 3 1/2" (visible, these are cabinet photos). Wear to leather, contents near fine.
