Circa 1745 American Tall Chest, the upper cabinet having a flat cove molded cornice, containing two faux as one over two graduated drawers fitted into beaded edge openings, retaining what appears to be the original brass drop bail pulls with oval escutcheons and lock plates, locks intact, no keys, pine secondary; the lower having a cove receiver for the upper, with two faux as one over two drawers, the base with shaped skirt, bandy legs ending in duckbill feet, single plank sides (one with shrinkage crack), 77" tall, 45 1/2" x 23 1/2" at the knees. Very good condition, old refinish.
