Important Matched Pair of Mid-18th c. Walnut Side Chairs, Boston or surrounding area, c. 1740-60, with carved crest, vasiform back splat, first period slip seat with later gold brocade upholstery, carved scallop frieze, on cabriole legs connected by block and turned stretchers, ending in pad feet, each chair has an underside museum mark, 41" high, 21 1/2" x 19 1/2", 18" seat height. Surface wear.
