- Lot Description
Persian (Qajar) Devil Head Steel Helmet with spiked and horned Devil's Head crest flanked by engraved horns, on a dome with raised nose, engraved and silvered eyes, applied ears and reticulated mouth surrounded by engraved beard, applied feather flourish receivers, reticulated lower rim containing Islamic inscriptions, with drilled edge to accept chain mail. 9 1/2" tall 8 1/2" diam. Very light surface corrosion, loss to chain mail.
