Pair of 19th c. Chinese Export Porcelain Rose Medallion Lidded Bough Pots, tapered octagonal shape with flared foot, raised foliate and bud decoration to corners and rims, four side panel medallions painted with figural scenes, with gilt decorated twist handles, lids decorated with scholars' tools, bird panels at edge of lid and foot, 9" high, 8" x 7 1/2". Gilding losses and wear to decoration, particularly at edges.
