- Lot Description
Waist Length Oval Portrait of a Merchant Sea Captain, watercolor on card, he is depicted with curly ginger hair and sideburns, nut brown jacket and waistcoat, gold anchor form pin at his breast, looking directly at the viewer with steely blue eyes, on a matching background field. Housed in the original black lacquered panel frame, with gilt liner, domed glass and gilt acorn ring hanger. SS: 5 1/2" x 4 5/8" oval, OS: 8" x 7 1/8". Very good condition.
