Circa 1600 Zhangzhou Swatow Vase decorated with iron red and cobalt blue writhing dragons on two sides, set in fields of flame and symbols of fortune, the form having a broad neck with slightly flared rim, single intermediate rib, high squared shoulder, slightly concave base resting on unglazed inset ring foot, unmarked underside (other than collector's mark), 17 1/2" x 8" diam.
