- Lot Description
(460) 3" square Glass Magic Lantern Slides, ca. 1880-1910, apparently used in a traveling lecture series, all housed in partitioned wooden boxes, and having a 1920s vintage electric projector in a 19th c. leather suitcase, box of accessories and separately packed electric light bulb. The slides are almost exclusively of London and environs, a mixture of b&w and hand colored, including: (266) London), (95) Dickens characters, (194) Dickens locations, (32) Castles & Cathedrals, (53) Johnson & Boswell locations. A very few are cracked and nearly all are identified.
