- Lot Description
Lot of (2) oil on panel paintings depicting settings of surrealist architecture; "Beacon", signed lower right and dated '4-00', titled verso and dated '4-29-00', in mahogany slat frame, OS: 12 1/4" x 16 1/4", SS: 12" x 16"; PLUS "Exit II", signed lower right, titled verso and dated '2-18-00', in burlwood panel and walnut molded frame, OS: 7 3/4" x 12 3/4", SS: 4 3/4" x 9 3/4". Both in fine condition. Battaglia worked at Julius Lowy's Framing and Restoration, founded in 1907 in New York, still in business today.
