- Lot Description
Lot of (5) oil on panel paintings of surrealist architecture include: "I", signed lower right, titled verso and dated '1999', SS: 8" x 10"; "Untitled", signed upper right and dated '1-00' verso, SS: 8" x 10"; "Midday Light", signed lower left and dated '3-01', SS: 7" x 12"; "Sanctuary at Sunrise", signed lower left, titled verso and dated '1-20-01', SS: 9" x 12"; "Untitled", unsigned but consigned with other signed pieces, sepia sketch verso, SS: 9" x 12". All in fine condition. Battaglia worked at Julius Lowy's Framing and Restoration, founded in 1907 in New York, still in business today.
