Magnificent Fine Quality Large Baluster Vase with Satsuma decoration of mythical characters, a Scholar on Throne with two children; a Warrior riding a Deer; Two Men Riding Cranes; an Artist painting on a mirror held by a student, (the painter is also holding aloft a smoking censer with a woman musician in the smoke); a Poor Traveler carries a child on his back, who is pointing at propitious objects falling from the sky onto a Performer who is balancing a broom on his nose. Remarkable. 23 1/2" tall 9 3/4" diam. Very good condition.
