Meiji Period Gilt Bronze Vase in tapered square form, with niello panels of courtly man and woman on front and back, flowering branch on sides; with reticulated upper rim, applied dragon handles, faux bamboo frame, in tapered pedestal resting on secondary tray with matching reticulated edge and band of niello decoration, raised on classically formed table base, all gilt, proportion and decoration for the English Aesthetic Movement market, circa 1875, roughly 14" x 9-3/4" square. Very good condition, wear to gilding.
