- Lot Description
Silver Lidded Caviar Server by G. Accarisi of Florence, topped with a seated satyr figure holding a rhyton, lid with chased floral swags and lion mask decoration; interior has a silver mounted cut crystal bowl with swing handle; urn form base section has acanthus leaf decorated rim, with floral swags draped between Classical bearded masks and sphinx form supports, set on three paw form feet mounted on a triangular base, base topped with 'G. Accarisi, Firenze' stamp; interior mount and base edge are stamped with swan marks (indicating that this piece was imported into France after 1893 from a non-contracting country or if the silver was of legal fineness but of unknown origin), 7" high, 4 1/2" diam., 25.22 ozt tw (including crystal bowl attached to silver mounting). Good condition.
