Unique Eisenhower/Nixon 1953 Inaugural Papers, consisting of the original guest lists for the Inaugural Ball for Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower, Mrs. Eisenhower and Vice-President Nixon; as collated by Kay E. Chapman, including a photo of him at work in front of portraits of Ike & Nixon, with the OK of the famous secretary Rose Mary Woods on Nixon's list (she was later to erase the critical minutes of the Watergate tapes under his orders), reviewed by Corazene S. Higbee, includes original blank invitation to the Inaugural Ball, which took place at the National Guard Armory on Tuesday evening, January 20th, 1953. Possibly the only surviving copy of this invitation list, certainly the only copy in private hands. Consigned by the daughter of K.E. Chapman. Also includes passes to the 1972 Inaugural Ball, Luncheon and White House Reception, Official 1949 Inaugural Program, (3)1957 Programs, 1953 Program, Nixon Leadership Conference Luncheon Menu, 1957 & 1969 Inauguration Guidebooks, other ephemera.
