- Lot Description
Primitive Watercolor Sketch of Rowing Teams Racing at Hastings in March of 1867, as captioned, with many yachts offshore and crowd on shore in foreground, signal flags to left. Unsigned. The Hastings & St. Leonard's Rowing Club, attached to the Yacht Club, was officially founded the next year, 1868, this depicts the race that established the course. 6 1/2" x 15" image on 11 3/4" x 19" black mount with white caption. Unframed.
